For this project, the primary challenge was pushing the boundaries of what can be done with procedural textures in my software of choice, Blender. The initial vision was to explore an abstract approach that went beyond the typical usage of procedural textures: animated gradients.

This was a technical challenge, more than it was an artistic one. Each piece had to be distinct and vibrant and had to incorporate various types of textures and blending techniques to achieve the final look. Then, each animation required to be carefully thought out and executed to reinforce the overall aesthetic of each piece.
